A new week has started. The forecast says there is no hot temperatures due this week. The morning started with cool breezes.

The keyboard when set on guitar or bass mode doesnt sound the best in lower notes. When two people play at the same time however, they harmonise well, and sound like they’re performing.

“What is this?” Dry clay? A student gave the hint: “The answer is in the countryside”.  Was it rice fields or mountains? After thinking about it, we found the answer was “a field”. The hint was: “Put a carrot, or something in a hole, and bury it in the field”. It resembles the shape of the soil that covers the crops. We will continue to watch the process to learn what kind of field will it be?

The second grade students left on their second adventure into the town. First they went to Daily Yamazaki. People who live in Okuma have used this store at least once, its the sole convenience store in town.

A second grade student asks the store clerk some questions he has been thinking about:

“What are the popular bento boxes, ice creams, and sweets?”

“How long have you been running your shop?”

“Whats your number 1 recommendation?”

Popular items are katsudon, french fries, and giant corn. The shop has been running for 2 years, and our No.1 recommendation is the Premium Anpan bread.

Even in places we have been before, we can learn new things. To Daily Yamazaki, thank you very much for teaching us during our adventure!

Next was Rainbow!

We visited after the lunch rush at 2pm. The shop opened in 1978! Hamburgers and Neopolitan pizza are their recommendations. It is always very crowded at lunch time. We would like everyone at Yumenomori to eat here together someday.

We want to try more of the menu items now, so we are looking forward to coming here again. To Rainbow, thank you very much for also teaching us today!

After school, we had a meeting with the school staff, and the travel agency.
From Tuesday to Thursday next week, we will have some students and designers travelling to Osaka, and Kyoto. We are making the final preparations now, and are nearly ready for next week!
