We held the closing ceremony. The first grade students who entered in April received their graduation certificates with dignity and walked with great dignity. I think they have been able to do more things over the year. When the new first grade students enter the school, I hope that they will teach them about Yumenomori as their seniors.

When you are in the third grade, you will receive more textbooks. Please do your best to be a good role model for the younger students.

The third grade students are halfway through their early years (elementary school)! I hope they will become cool seniors.

The fourth grade students will advance to fifth grade and join the older students.

The fifth grade students will advance to sixth grade, the highest grade in the early stage (elementary school). “I’m a bit nervous because I’ll be in the highest grade in the early stage next year. But I want to do my best with my friends.”

Sixth grade students have completed all of the early stage courses (elementary school) and will now become junior high school students.

The sixth grade students who will be entering junior high school announced their aspirations. “I want to be good at cooking”, “I want to continue self-study”, “I want to work hard on Kanji and math”, “I want to work hard on subjects I’m not good at”, “I want to be able to plan things”, “I want to study hard for high school”. Please stay positive and do your best to achieve your goals♪

~GM’s Story~

“Do you feel like you can do more than you could this time last year? That means you have worked that hard. Here is a piece of furoshiki (Wrapping cloth). We have things we like and things we are not good at. If you find what you like and develop what you like to the fullest, other abilities that may seem unrelated at first glance will also develop, and you will experience a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment, which will give you the desire to try things that you are not good at. It gives you the feeling to “give it a try” by yourself. I think that if you work on your best self, it will definitely lead to an improvement in your level. That’s why I want you to develop the things you like.”

We also held an awards ceremony and look forward to seeing their success in the coming year.

After the graduation ceremony and awards ceremony, we went to clean up the school. The cleaning of the school building went very well, and a lot of trash was produced. We also cleaned the shoe cupboards, emptied the lockers, and took home our belongings. It looks like we will be able to start in April in a fresh state. We held a farewell party and gave encouragement to the children who will be performing in Tokyo. The big day will finally come on Wednesday, March 26th.

And finally… We saw off some children who were going on to other junior high schools. Some children were crying because they were lonely, saying “Thank you” and “Good luck.”

[Final cooking class]

Grade 6 and 7 students made delicious dishes and desserts in a home economics class. “They were delicious, too. I enjoyed the last cooking class of the year.” “In April, I couldn’t even grill anything. Now I can cook while being conscious of how well cooked they are. But sometimes they burn, so I want to get it done just right. I also want to learn how to cut vegetables.”

[Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony]
The children from the school applauded as they left the stage. “Congratulations!” Compulsory education starts in April. We hope they will be treated as good seniors.
