We held our final Book Lab session before the summer break.
For grades 1 to 3, we read seasonal picture books aloud, while students in grades 4 to 9 took part in book talks to introduce and share books with one another.
Through these activities, we also had a chance to learn about the story of Tanabata.

During the Book Talk session for the upper grades, students asked each other questions such as “Where did you get that book?” and “How did you find out about it?” They also shared their thoughts and impressions of the books.
Over the summer break, students will work on their book reports as part of their assignments.
The next Book Lab session is scheduled to take place after the summer vacation.
Thank you to Kuma no Pocket for supporting our reading time!

[Grade 5 Japanese – Tips for Conducting Interviews]
We had a lesson on the art of listening.
By watching interview videos, students reflected not only on the clarity of the questions but also on the interviewers’ attitudes.
Comments included observations like “The questions weren’t clear,” or “They looked like they didn’t really want to be there,” showing that students were thinking critically about how interviews are conducted.

As summer vacation approaches, each grade is holding learning counseling sessions with their homeroom teachers.
Students are reviewing what they’ve learned during the first term and deciding on their assignments for the summer.
