On days when we play so much we forget it’s lunchtime, we enjoy a relaxed outdoor lunch.
With nature as our feast, the “Nashi” (Pear) class kids eat more than usual!

Sooo tasty!

Let’s eat outside again!

Conversations are lively.

While the adults nearby keep saying “It’s hot!”, as if it’s their catchphrase, the children are happily playing in the pool.

They joyfully splash water around, compete to see how long they can hold their breath underwater, and some are practicing floating.

Even during fun pool play, the children sweat a lot. Staying hydrated is very important.

So, we ate a large amount of vegetables generously donated by our neighbors.

One day, we ate them fresh and raw.

On another day, we prepared them by salting them in advance.

That’s right! Cucumbers!!

Cucumbers are a perfect way to stay hydrated♪

Even kids who usually don’t like cucumbers happily ate them up.

I can eat this! It’s delicious!

They even asked for seconds!

Also, the items that appeared later in the meal really boosted their appetites!!!

They dipped them in miso for some salt intake too! After that, they enjoyed playing in the water again.
