Let’s Work On Our Self-Management Skills
The last week before summer vacation has a cheerful atmosphere, excitement being felt by both children and adults.
Each subject held their “last lessons of term” one after another.
Summer homework has been assigned, and now all that’s left is to wait for the start of summer break!

Reflections

  • “During the first term, I was able to study by making my own plans. I feel like my memorization skills have improved. During summer break, I want to study by writing in my notebook and working on Qubena and workbooks to prepare for the second term.”
  • “During Level-Up Time, I focused on the subjects I needed to work on first. Although I reviewed some subjects, I think I could have used my time more effectively. Next term, I want to manage my time better and study thoroughly for tests.”
  • “I chose the areas where I was lacking and think I was able to improve my skills during Level-Up Time.”

Yomotto × Azuma Mobile Library
The Azuma mobile library bus from the Prefectural Library visited us. This bus comes to Yumenomori twice a year. The next visit is scheduled for December.

  • There were books that we don’t have in Yumenomori, so I felt a little excited. There were illustrations I liked, and I thought they were cute.

Future Design × Summer Vacation
At the end of September, we are planning the Yume-Fest (Future Design Presentation). To share the results and challenges of their individual research projects, students decided what they will work on during summer vacation. Some plan to create slides summarizing what they have done, some want to prepare exhibits, and others want to sell the items they made. Each student will decide their own presentation style and prepare accordingly.

Reflections

  • “I researched “Short Way City” and learned about town planning. During summer vacation, I want to study more about town planning and make comparisons.”
  • “I have been working on video creation. While receiving various tips, I tried making a video. Trying new things is hard but fun. During summer vacation, I want to choose music and create materials to distribute at Yume-Fest.”
  • “During summer vacation, I want to replant lavender in the flowerbed and finish making a sign to put up there.”
