After discussing with the 5th to 9th grade children, the Sports Festival Executive Committee was formed. The Executive Committee Chair and Vice Chair were also decided, and the next step was to come up with a “slogan.” There were several children who were participating in a Sports Festival for the first time.

After coming up with options such as “One body, one mind,” “Unity,” and “A profusion of flowers,” a survey was conducted among students in grades 3 to 9. After narrowing down the words, the slogan was decided.

They discussed their thoughts on the Sports Festival, saying things like “It’s a big event that will draw a lot of different people,” “We want to make it a fun day,” and “People from the local community will come, not just from school.”
They decided on “We’ll work together to the best of our ability – let’s all give it our all and have fun!“
We want to enjoy each event to the fullest, and work together with friends and local people to make this a fun Sports Festival. That’s what the slogan was chosen with. There are about 10 days left until the Sports Festival. I hope everyone will give it their all in preparation and practice.
During an all grades P.E class, we reviewed and practiced “Yosakoi” and their positions, and practiced our original choreography.

Thoughts:
– “Yosakoi is fun!”
– “I’ve danced to popular songs before, but this is my first time dancing Yosakoi. It’s difficult and hard to remember.”
– “I thought it was great that everyone from 1st grade to 9th grade performed the same dance.”
