【Tanabata Wishes】
When we think of July, we think of the Tanabata Festival.
We set up bamboo branches in the Book Plaza, and students wrote their wishes on colorful tanzaku paper, and hung them up.
May everyone’s wishes come true!

Summer break is just around the corner.
Looking back, the first term was filled with valuable learning opportunities, where we welcomed instructors to teach the Traffic Safety and the Digital Citizen Workshops.
Our big event—the Sports Festival—was a great success. In the parent meetings (Tomoni Tsukuru-kai), we saw concrete steps taken toward strengthening our schools community.
In the Future Design program, students explored their own projects and had many chances to learn outside the classroom.
It was a term full of diverse and meaningful learning experiences.
Only one more week to go—let’s stay healthy and finish strong!

★ Tanabata Wishes ★
Here are some of the heartfelt wishes our students wrote for Tanabata:

  • “I want to help others.”
  • “I hope to become a police officer someday.”
  • “May all children stay healthy and happy.”
  • “I hope I can reach my goal on the achievement test.”
  • “Please let me win the gacha for my favorite character!”
  • “I want to make lots of friends.”
  • “I wish to get better at origami.”
  • “I hope to ride in a cool car one day.”
  • “I wish a card shop would open in Okuma.”
  • “I want to go to space someday.”

【Achievement Test】
Our 7th and 8th grade students took their first achievement test of the school year.
They had been preparing for two weeks, making study plans and reviewing hard.
(Although we don’t have photos, everyone tackled the questions with great perseverance!)

★ Student Reflections ★

  • “It was my first test since becoming a junior high school student, so I was nervous. I think I was able to do my best, and I hope I’ll reach my target score.”
  • “The whole test was difficult. There were some questions I could answer, but also some I skipped because I didn’t understand them. Still, I’m proud that I worked hard until the end.”
  • “Since it was my first real test, I felt nervous and even a little scared. I had studied, but there were problems I didn’t know how to solve. I realized achievement tests are quite challenging.”
  • “Taking tests all day was tough. I reviewed the day before and even right before the test started. But when I actually tried it, I found it hard. This experience motivated me to study harder from now on.”
  • “Some questions were on topics I struggle with, and I didn’t study enough, so I don’t feel very confident. Since it was my first test, even if I don’t get a good score, I want to learn from it and do better next time.”
