The third and fourth grade students visited the communications control room of the Futaba Regional Municipal Area Fire Department in Naraha Town. Third grade also went to the Tomioka Fire Station. This was the last field trip of the year. Thank you for your help♪

After listening to an explanation of the equipment that they use, the students made a 119 call from Manabiya Yumenomori. As soon as the call was made, the location of Yumenomori appeared on the screen, and they were amazed.

“I’m happy that I was able to visit. I learned a lot.” “I asked, ‘What would you do if a fire broke out in the control room?’ I learned that you put out the fire yourself.” “I was surprised. I didn’t realize there were so many monitors.” “During the training, a teacher from school reported a fire. The person who received the report spoke slowly to calm the other person, which I thought was amazing.” I was able to learn about a different atmosphere to that of a fire station.

[Practice for the graduation ceremony]

At the graduation ceremony of Manabiya Yumenomori, each student’s name is called and a representative student from each grade receives a certificate. Sixth grade, who have now completed elementary school, announce their future goals as a declaration of determination. The graduation ceremony is on the 21st. In April, the students will advance to the next grade and the new first grade students will enter the school, starting a new year.

We have confirmed the flow of the ceremony and finished the practice. Let’s finish it with a bang!
