Heartbeat…

Heartbeat…

The children looked at us with expressions that seemed as if we could hear their hearts pounding.
We could feel their nervousness too.

Today, at 11:45 a.m., they joined a trial class with first grade.

When the first-grade designers entered the room saying, “Let’s start the class!”, the children quickly straightened their backs, and the tension in the room seemed to rise.

They observed a math lesson.

When they heard that they would solve problems while training in “ninja skills,” the children were immediately drawn in. Even though the content was challenging, they listened very carefully and attentively.

(Seeing the children who graduated from the kindergarten last year now taking part in a real class was very moving. We couldn’t help but cheer them on. 😿)

After experiencing the classroom atmosphere, it was time to try school lunch.

Among many students, they received their meals with help from first grade, and ate together. Lunch was served later than at the kindergarten, so they seemed quite hungry and ate heartily. However, perhaps because they were still nervous, some hesitated to ask for seconds.

Thanks to the kind and reliable first grade students who guided them, the children became even more excited about going into first grade themselves.

Thank you, first grade students! ☆
