On Friday, February 27, we held a “Congratulations on Your School Admission Party.”
The event was planned by the children from the Peach Group and the Apple Group.
They secretly prepared invitations, presents, games, and decorations for the venue without letting the team leader older students know.
When the invitations were handed out, the Pear Group looked surprised but happy as they carefully looked at the heartfelt cards.
On the day of the event, the Pear Group happily brought their invitations with them to join the party.
(They didn’t actually need to bring them, but seeing them hold the invitations showed how much they were looking forward to the event.)
The program was led by Designer Nene, with support from the children in the Apple Group, Peach Group, and Designer Konoka.
When Nene said, “Opening words,” the Apple Group suddenly started whispering excitedly.
Then three children from the Apple Group stepped forward and loudly announced the beginning of the event. They did a great job taking on such an important role!
Now, the games began.
The first game was “Which Teacher Is It?”
A teacher wore a paper bag over their head and the same apron as others… but it seemed the children figured it out easily!
There were many other activities as well:
- Train Relay (Strawberry Group, Lemon Group, and Pear Group)
- Snack Time with juice and sweets
- Red and White Othello Game (Grape Group, Peach Group, and Pear Group)
- Ball Carrying Relay (Apple Group and Pear Group)
- Relay Race (Teachers vs. Pear Group)
Although we don’t have photos of the relay race because the teachers were running, the Pear Group won the race!
At the closing ceremony, there was a surprise gift—photo frames made by the children in the Peach Group and Apple Group.
The Pear Group children happily compared their frames with each other and admired them.
There was also an interview time, where each child from the Pear Group answered questions confidently.
Of course, the Apple Group delivered the closing words. Having watched the Pear Group for so long, they spoke loudly and proudly.
After returning to the classroom, it was time for a buffet-style school lunch.
There were many dishes requested by the Pear Group.
The children served themselves, choosing the foods they wanted and deciding their own portions.
Children who didn’t like vegetables didn’t have to take them. Some wanted to get seconds, but after eating snacks earlier, they found they couldn’t eat as much as they expected.
