未来デザインの時間の中で、「ダンスをやってみたい！」という声が上がり、今回は、いわき市でダンススクールを運営している鉄心さんを講師にお迎えし、ダンスワークショップを行いました。
テーマパークダンサーやテレビ出演などの経験を持つ鉄心さんのお話に、子どもたちも興味津々な様子でした。
ワークショップでは、最近流行している曲に合わせながら、ダンスの基本的な動きを一つ一つ丁寧に練習しました。
リズムに言葉を当てはめながら動きを覚えたり、「だるまさんがころんだ」のようなゲームを取り入れながら振り付けを練習したりと、楽しみながら身体を動かす時間となりました。
はじめは少し緊張した様子の子どもたちでしたが、音楽に合わせて少しずつ身体を動かし、友達と笑い合いながら楽しそうに取り組んでいました。
「むずかしい〜！」と言いながらも、何度も振り付けに挑戦する姿や、自分なりにリズムに乗って楽しむ姿がたくさん見られました。難しい振りをお互いに教え合っている様子も印象的でした。
ワークショップが終わったあとも、「動画をもらって練習したい！」「習った動きを一輪車の演技に動きを活かしたい！」という声も聞こえてきました。
これから子どもたちの“やってみたい”が、どんな表現や探究につながっていくのか楽しみです

・こんなダンスが上手な人は初めて見ました。
・鉄心さんのダンスはすごかったです。自分はまだ上手くできなかったです。
・初めて本格的なダンスを習ったけど、少しずつやったら意外とできました。とっても楽しかったです！
・難しかったけど鉄心さんが丁寧に指導してくれたから頑張れました。
[Daily Records] Taking on the Dance Challenge Together!
During our “Future Design Time,” a spark of curiosity ignited when some students expressed, “We want to try dancing!” Responding to their enthusiasm, we welcomed Tesshin-san, who runs a dance school in Iwaki City, as our guest instructor for a special dance workshop.
The children were absolutely captivated by Tesshin-san’s stories, which included his rich background as a theme park dancer and appearances on television.
The workshop kicked off with the children practicing basic dance moves step-by-step, set to the latest hit songs. It was a delightful, high-energy session where they learned choreography by matching words to the rhythm and practiced movements through playful games like Daruma-san ga Koronda (Japanese red-light, green-light).
Though the children seemed a bit nervous at first, they gradually let loose to the music, laughing and sharing joyful moments with their friends.
We saw so many wonderful sights: students calling out, “This is tough!” while eagerly trying the choreography over and over, and others simply grooving to the rhythm in their own unique ways. It was especially heartwarming to see them naturally helping and teaching each other the more challenging moves.
Even after the workshop ended, the excitement didn’t stop. We heard enthusiastic comments like, “I want the video so I can keep practicing at home!” and “I want to use these new moves in my unicycle routine!”
We are incredibly excited to see how the children’s “I want to try that!” will shape their self-expression and deeper journeys of inquiry from here on out.
