[Yomotto ~Library Explorations with Third Graders~]
During Japanese class, we checked with the librarian where each book was. There is no room called a library at Yumenomori. The entire school building is a library, as there are bookshelves placed throughout the building. The first floor is organised by our own classification, and the second floor is organised according to the Nippon Decimal Classification System.

[3-3-7 beats with castanets ~Music for 1st and 2nd graders~]

Along with the shouts of “Rice! Rice!”, the sound of castanets rang out in the Book Plaza. In music classes for first and second grade students, they used castanets to play a 3-3-7 rhythm. J-POP music was also played, and they tried out various 3-3-7 rhythms.

[Card games – 3rd grade Japanese]

We learned kanji using card games. We usually do it on desks, but sometimes we curl up together for study time♪

[After-school program starts! ~Late-stage course~]

There are no set club activities for the late-stage course. After school, students plan their own activities three times a week, such as exercise, making small items, practicing piano, designing the future, Minecraft, and studying school subjects. After-school programs started with planning at the beginning of the month.

・I’m practicing the piano. I found it difficult to remember the finger numbers. I want to keep practicing until I can play the songs I want to play.

・It’s like a club activity, but I can do it at my own pace. I think it’s good that I can choose what I like and what I want to do.
