After-school activities for junior high began in early May, with students making plans and working on what they want to do. Some students focus on sports like baseball, table tennis, basketball, and badminton, piano, and cooking, while others play Minecraft (educational version), study school subjects, or design for the future.





Once a week, we explore each theme in our Future Design class. Now that we’re all set, we’ve begun production.

“I’ll trace the 15cm pattern onto the felt, cut it out, and then sew it together.”

This was the first time he spray painted anything.


“Right now I’m making a book keep. I drew the blueprint on a tablet, then I go to Sakura Mall to buy the materials.” They are making creative use of their limited time to advance their research. Even on days when there is no after-school program, they were seen advancing their research in their free time, and we could feel their enthusiasm for the things they like and want to do.
