For the third semester’s future design class, students have finished summarizing the themes that they have been working on since April, and they are starting to move towards the next year. They are working on setting themes. The 4th to 7th grade students who are interested in vehicles, such as cars and airplanes, went to the Old Car Center in Naraha town.

The automobile museum “Old Car Center Kudan” opened in September, 1997. Fighter planes such as “Cessnas” are lined up outside. Cars are lined up on the first floor, and miniature battleships and fighter planes are lined up on the second floor. They were collected because of a “true love” for them.

Cars from the 1930s to the 1970s are lined up in rows, giving us a sense of the era and their history. There were not only Japanese cars but also foreign cars from Germany and America.

They are looking for research themes for next year! It was a great opportunity to see these precious things. They were able to learn about the history of cars and fighter planes while interacting with “adults who have mastered their favourite things”.
〜Thoughts〜
・It was really fun. It got to know that just displaying things costs money. There were cars and airplanes on display that could be operated if they are repaired. I wanted to see more fighter planes. I learned that they don’t give fighter jet engines to civilians and that there are rules for disposing of them.
