Hamadori’s climate is mild, and snow rarely accumulates. On this day, the snow piled up, which is unusual for Okuma Town, we were able to touch snow while shoveling it this morning. “This is the second time I’ve experienced snow like this in my life!” “I don’t have gloves. It’s cold”, they said as they collected snow on the artificial turf.

It’s sunny today, so the sunlight will melt all the snow during the day. “Sliding is fun!” “Snow is interesting!” They seemed to be full of energy.

During the second and third periods, students in 3rd to 6th grade participated in local garbage collecting activities and cleaned up the town. “There was less garbage than I expected, so I didn’t have anything to pick up”, and “I was able to pick up some garbage that was falling on the other side of the fence” they said. They did their best despite the cold.

When they gathered it up, there was about 5 bags worth of garbage in total. Although the amount of garbage picked up by one person was small, there was a lot when we added it all together. We want to keep the town and school clean and comfortable.
