In July, our swimming classes began.
As we did last year, we used the pool at Tomioka Elementary and Junior High School in the neighboring town.
This year, with an increase in the number of students, we adjusted the schedule: 1st to 4th grade students go to the pool in the morning, while 5th to 9th grade students head out in the afternoon.

The day before the swimming class, students gathered in the “Book Plaza” to review important safety points and share their personal goals for the lesson.
The next day, students in 5th to 9th grade had their swimming class.
“Let’s enter the pool only after making sure our bodies are clean and by following the rules.”
With the help of illustrations, students checked for unsafe behaviors:
“Someone is about to dive even though diving is not allowed,”
“Someone is running along the poolside,”
“Someone is drowning in the middle of the pool.”
Sometimes accidents can happen when excitement takes over.
Let’s remember: safety first, and enjoy swimming responsibly!

– Our Swimming Goals –
- “I used to take swimming lessons. I want to aim for the same record I had back then.”
- “My goal is to swim 50 meters without stopping.”
- “I want to overcome the strokes I’m not good at.”
- “I hope to learn how to swim the front crawl.”
- “I want to try something I couldn’t do last year.”
- “I’m aiming to beat my time from last year.”

Thank you for your continued support this year as well.
