“Yomotto Rangers” (library staff members) is active in Yumenomori! Every week, they read picture books aloud to the children of the kindergarten. They are a group of members who came together voluntarily, saying “I think I’ll give it a try”, “I’m interested in the work of a librarian”, and “I want to read to them.”

Of course, it’s hard to do this every week. With the help of our librarian, we have been selecting, and practicing reading picture books. We are planning to discuss how we can continue this year’s activities to make use of them next year.

February had Setsubun and Valentine’s Day, but next is Hinamatsuri (Doll’s Festival)♪ Hina dolls appeared in front of the library counter. The detailed display will catch your eye. There is also a display of cute Hina dolls made from origami. The tiny origami paper is folded into tiny shapes, and the intricacy is impressive! It looks gorgeous.

Various posters are also displayed. We have put some effort into displaying it, so please take a look ♪
