We held our first Book Lab session!
Book Lab is designed to help students enjoy reading through picture book readings and book talks that introduce a variety of books.
Since last September, we’ve had a daily schoolwide reading time, and students are gradually picking up books more often.
For this session, grades 1–4 enjoyed picture book readings, while grades 5–9 took part in book talks.

Students in grades 1 to 3 gathered in the sub-arena to enjoy picture book readings and apron theater performances.
For grade 4 students, it was their first time trying a book talk, and they eagerly introduced their favorite books.
In the upper grades, students shared books that matched their own interests, and we even heard someone ask, “Can I ask a question?”

In the second half, we also had time for teachers to introduce their recommended books. The activity took place in a warm and cheerful atmosphere.

Our next Book Lab is scheduled for July.

A big thank-you to Kuma no Pocket for your support!
We look forward to working with you again this year♪

Just a few more days left in June!
