Today, we decorated bamboo with the Tanabata strips that we received the other day. Bamboo stalks are installed at three nearby facilities, and today we visited Hotto Okuma.

I have made many Tanabata decorations with the local people, and the bamboo stalk of Hotto Okuma has a lively atmosphere that is different from other bamboo stalks. After decorating the strips safely, we said hello to everyone in Hotto Okuma and returned to the Community Welfare Centre. When we looked at the strips of paper that we had received this time, I saw many wishes that the local people thought of the children at Yumenomori.
Thank you all for always watching over our children. There is no doubt that we, the designers of Yumenomori, are in a position to realize the healthy growth of children as we wish. All the designers will continue to work hard and help children grow so that everyone’s wishes will no end only as wishes.

Today during 6th period, I saw a child crouching under the desk. What are you doing?

The theme of today’s 5th and 6th grade moral education class was to know yourself from the perspective of others. In the envelopes the children received, there were many good things about the children that the class teacher had gathered from various people.

Now, it’s your turn to write about good things about your friends. Although the person in charge did not give any instructions, the children wrote sticky notes away from their desks. Even though its already decided that they will give them the notes anyway at the end, it seems embarassing to see them writing about their friends good points. Everyone was smiling, not only when they received good things about themselves, but also when they wrote about good things about their friends. The ability to motivate yourself is important. And I think that the good points about yourself written in the words of your friends, which are different from your own, will surely become even more precious treasures for the children.
