Now that our class performance day is over, the children have been pretending to put on their own “mini performances,” imitating the shows presented by other classes.
They watched the other classes closely and said things like, “This is how they did it!”, “You’re up next!”, and “What are you doing? Let me join!” As they played, their circle of friends kept growing.

The children have been enjoying the changes of the season—red and yellow leaves on the surrounding mountains and the chilly wind that tells us autumn has arrived.
But they truly are “children of the wind”! Their love for water play hasn’t stopped yet.
On warm sunny days, they pour water into the sandbox and enjoy pretend cooking and imaginative play.

We washed our hands and gargled water after we came inside. We review together: “When you gargle, you swirl and spit!”
Everyone is working hard to prevent colds.

Autumn is the season of art.
The children’s artwork was displayed at the Cultural Exhibition held at the Okuma Town Hall. Each piece had its own charm, surely delighting the visitors who came to see them.

We also held a roasted sweet potato party using the sweet potatoes the children harvested.

Later, they continued the fun with pretend “roasted sweet potato play.”

Our fun memories didn’t end there! When we discovered the oven that the school had heated for making pizza, we took the opportunity to roast marshmallows—and enjoyed them together.

Autumn flavors continue! We joined the “Imoni” party, where we tasted big rice balls and hearty pork soup.

Perhaps this season is… more like the season of a “good appetite” than the season of art?
