When February arrives, teachers look back on the children’s growth over the year and think, “They can do this now,” or “They have developed these wonderful feelings.” It is a time when we truly feel the joy of their development.

However, for the senior class, the Pear Group, mixed emotions begin to appear—because they are about to move on to the next stage of school.

Even as we spend our usual days together, the countdown to graduation continues. We feel happy for them, but also a little sad.

At Yumenomori, even after moving up to elementary school, the children will still be in the same building and close by, so we will be able to see them anytime. Even so, we can’t help but feel a bit emotional.

With those feelings in mind, we planned a graduation excursion so that everyone could create special memories together.

February 26—with lunch boxes and snacks in hand, we set off on our trip!

The bus ride truly showed the cheerful spirit of the Pear Group.

Before we knew it, we had arrived! The one-and-a-half-hour journey felt very short when everyone traveled together.

Our destination was Sendai Umino-Mori Aquarium in Sendai City.

The children were so excited and happy! Before entering, we reminded them that it was a public place and that we should be considerate of others.

Some of them were already saying, “I’m hungry!” as soon as we arrived and seemed eager to eat their lunches, but first we explored the aquarium.

After seeing many different sea creatures, it was finally time for the long-awaited lunch break

You could tell how happy they were just by looking at their faces. They enjoyed what would be their last lunch box time at the kindergarten.

But of course, they still had room for more! They happily ate the snacks they had brought along as well 💛

Fun moments pass quickly.

Before we knew it, it was time to head home. With wonderful memories in their hearts, the children began the journey back.

The ride home was fun as well.

But remember—no teasing friends who are sleeping on the bus!
