“Good morning! What shall we play?” the children ask cheerfully as they arrive at the kindergarten.

They seem to have gotten used to their new environment quite well.

At the beginning of May, koinobori(carp streamers) that each child made with their own unique style were displayed in the rooms.

Nashi(pear) class, watching with nervous excitement, made shapes with a saw, and decorated them with stamps and marbles.

Ringo(apple) class made sparkling eyes, a style unique to the girls, using a stencil painting technique.

As they were looking at the sample carp streamers,

The mom has a beard, too!

That’s right. Good thing you noticed.

It was an impressive moment, showing how children can notice things, and have a different perspective!

Now, the things we’re growing in our room are getting bigger.

They will soon be replanted in the field. We are focusing on watering, and observing them every day.

(Peppers, edamame, radishes, okra, etc.)

We cleaned their home. There are four of them here… What they are… is still a secret🌟

The caterpillar has evolved into a pupa.

They hatched into cabbage white butterflies. Three were born.

We let it out on Friday. We said goodbye and hope to see you again. (There is a butterfly in the upper left.)

I hope that by raising living things, children will develop an appreciation for the preciousness of life and the importance of cherishing it.

Now, when it comes to protecting our lives, evacuation drills are important.

We participated in a joint evacuation drill with the compulsory education school students and teachers.

What if there’s an earthquake?

What if there’s a fire?

Where should we evacuate to?

We all confirmed these things.

The children actually heard the sirens and evacuation announcements and said things like, “It was scary,” “I thought it was real,” and “I was shaking.”

They will continue to work hard so that they can put the training to good use in an emergency.

Cool!!
A fire truck!!!

消防士

Today I rode in a pump truck.

What is this?

消防士

The blue part is water and the yellow part is fire-fighting foam.

And many more. We got answers to many of our “what?” questions.

Thank you, Tomioka Fire Department.
